Ampersand Hydro Acquires Brooklyn Dam With Operating Partner PHS; Plans to Bring Generator Back Online in 2014

April 5, 2013 – Groveton, NH: Ampersand Hydro LLC subsidiary Ampersand Brooklyn Dam Hydro LLC, in cooperation with engineering and operations partner Powerhouse Systems Inc. (“PHS”), acquired a hydroelectric dam located in Groveton, NH, the first step in an effort to bring the asset back into operation. Brooklyn Dam was originally built to provide power to the Groveton Paper Mill, and operated until its generating equipment was destroyed during a flood in the 1960s. Boston-based Ampersand and Lancaster, NH-based PHS plan to re-license the hydroelectric plant and bring it back into operation by the summer of 2014 with a generating capacity of about 600 kilowatts.

Ampersand Hydro Acquires and Restores Vermont Hydro Station

April 1, 2013 - Moretown, VT: Ampersand Hydro LLC subsidiary Ampersand Moretown Hydro LLC today completed its acquisition of a 1.2 MW run-of-river hydroelectric generating station located on the Mad River, immediately downstream from Moretown and West Montpelier, VT. The purchase boosts the installed capacity of Ampersand’s portfolio of renewable energy projects to nearly 11 megawatts.

Acquisition of Peterborough Hydro Assets

December 30, 2011 - Peterborough, NH: Ampersand Hydro LLC subsidiary Ampersand New Hampshire Hydro LLC today acquired two hydroelectric generating stations located in Peterborough, NH, boosting the installed capacity of Ampersand's portfolio of renewable energy projects to nearly 10 megawatts.
