Ampersand Brooklyn Dam Hydro completes hydroelectric greenfield project

December 17, 2015, Groveton, NH: Today, Ampersand Hydro LLC’s (“AHL”) subsidiary Ampersand Brooklyn Dam Hydro LLC (“ABDH”) brought the Brooklyn Dam hydroelectric project online. The 600 kW, two-unit power generating station will feed approximately 2,800 MWh on average every year into the electric grid. This is AHL’s first completed greenfield hydroelectric project, bringing the company’s total number of assets under its control to 18. The Brooklyn Hydro project is located in close proximity to AHL’s Gilman hydroelectric project.

Ampersand acquires Forestport hydroelectric station in NY state

July 2, 2015, Forestport, NY: Today, Ampersand Hydro LLC (“AHL”) completed the acquisition of the 2.9 MW Forestport hydroelectric power generating station. This asset is part of a larger portfolio involving three additional projects which AHL acquired over the last three months. These include the 400 kW Kayuta Lake, the 850 kW Christine Falls, and the 3.7 MW Ogdensburg hydroelectric projects. All four assets are located in Upstate New York. AHL now controls and operates 16 hydroelectric stations across the Northeastern US totaling 28.6 MW, with one additional station under development.

Ampersand completed acquisition of Chasm Falls hydroelectric station

February 27, 2015, Chateaugay, NY: Ampersand Hydro LLC (“AHL”) has closed its acquisition of the 1.6 MW Chasm Falls hydroelectric power generating station located near the Village of Malone, NY. AHL now controls and operates 12 hydroelectric stations across the Northeastern US totaling 20.9 MW, with one additional station under development.
